A 1962 Take on the Shakespeare Classic

 

UCLA’s 2009 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Joel Bishoff, was truly a dream come true.  Juliette thoroughly enjoyed designing and constructing custom suits and dresses along with the staff and students at UCLA.  For the fairies, we decided that the beatniks of the 1950s to mid 1960s time period was an appropriate sub- culture to represent in the play.
